Really excellent depth to this one Stotty , the lighting looks fantastic, great reflection over the water. The surface maps are also beautifully done - shoreline for example, where the sand seems to come up and lie on the grass - very realistic, the beach is very nice and the rocks look really good through the transparent water I like how you made the cliff-faces, nice bright & smooth surface. Cool waves btw

Hmmm... I'm wondering a bit about this one... For one, as kipton already pointed out, the clouds and sky, especially near the back, looks a bit flat. Next up is the water. I didn't actually notice the water in the foreground at first. May be it's a bit to transparent, but looks really good otherwise. For one I like the reflections and the waves. They look pretty good, although the reflection on the right looks like it's broken up.
Also, I think the sand texture in the front doesn't looks quite good. It looks quite heavy and I think there should be some grass shining through the sand (may be a fade between the two materials), since the transition between the sand and grass looks quite hard.

Me, personally, I don't like those white cliffs in the background all that much, but that's just my taste. Anyway, appart from the tings mentioned above, I really think this is quite a nice image and I'd love to see the final version.
