Something newer for you now, I have been messing with the atmosphere a bit lately in a bid to produce something for a new guide in Terragen lighting effects, Not sure if this is the best to explain as the sky looks slightly blackened. What do you think?

Terragen (no plugins) + psp gamma corrections

looking good mate....the skyline and the terrain are looking pretty good apart from the dark part in the bottom left and the sun rays are a bit too strong maybe:? (Confused)

I really wish I could learn how to use Terragen, I just don't undertand it .. but enough about me, on to the critique of your piece. It seems a bit too dark on the upper left, but thats just athestic... Other than that the main thing that attracted me to this piece was the light beams, they're simply stunning. I like this deviation a lot.. if you can brighten up the corner a bit more, not too much.. maybe like 20% it'd really make a great piece. ( Its a great piece already .. :) (Smile) )

Awesome work!!!! the lightrays are very realistic and the highlighting in the upper righthand corner is perfect. The bottom righthand corner should probably be lit more with all that light shining down, but it's still amazing.

Excellent pic! Terragen is very very versatile (I never did really dig into it, but a friend of mine Sixwings [link] ) is pretty good at it. The lightrays are awesome and I like the blackened sky a lot, remidns me of when a really nasty storm is winding down and the first rays of light shine through the clouds.

The ground textures and lighting effects are nothing less than breathtaking on this. I think they should have a seperate setion JUST for Terragen pics personally, that way there could be like a sub-community of nothing but Terragen junkies :D (Big Grin) Anyhoo, awesome work, keep it up!

The shading in this is incredible. I am getting lost in this picture...just staring at it. Lovely...

As per usual, I love it. I also have a suggestion though - is there a way to give the clouds some more volume somehow? They seem a little like they were painted 2d and then curved to give the 3d effect. I have no idea how to go about highlighting them to give them more volume... I'm just pretty sure that some kind of highlighting is needed... yer a smart guy though. I'm sure you'll be able to string my gibberish into something usefull. :D (Big Grin) (ok, going home now)
