Done in Terragen - Used PS for colour correction.

I did a tutorial [link] to show how to get terrains like this from the web into Terragen, this is a scene based on that data. I figured rather than keeping it hidden away in a tutorial, someone may want it as a wallpaper.

Before anyone knocks the realism of this, I know the real Mount St. Helens has darker rock and is quite barren, This is simply a representation of the data really. I may come back and roughen up the rocks and maybe sort out the grass when I get some free time, but here is this in the meantime

The "mud" layer in the mountains seems too smooth. I might try roughing it up a bit. Your grass textures however, are amazing (though I suppose its to be expected when you make about 30,000 different layers of green =p (Razz) )

The skyand atmosphere are flawless. Great job with the orange glow over the horizon on the left hand side. I especially like the soft glow of light from the right side that is being cast on the large mountain. Very serene and beautiful. Great work as always! :) (Smile)

I like the rolling plain leading up to the mountain and nice idea making the sky look like moring with the golden light.

stunningly stunning, great depth perception gives a real feel to the anormity of the rock. Great work.

:bomb: people who enjoy waving flags don't deserve to have one :bomb:
Your rock or mud texture is too plain......looks unrealistically smooth, the rest is great:) (Smile) love the terrain, was a nice Tut too, btw :) (Smile)

It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum....and I'm all out of gum
Who cares about realism, that's awesome.

Hmm, I think this isn't the best from you stotty, I know you can do better ;-) (Wink) Especially the gray rock doesn't look very realistic, maybe darker shadows and rougher texture would've made it better. On the other hand I'm pretty sure you know that already and I feel very stupid here, giving advices to the master of TG Laughing my ass off! I like the grass though and the the colors look great too.
