This is another Part 1 Collab, ~zoanoid had just completed a wonderful airbrushing of a Lion and Hummingbird, but felt he needed a better background for his next piece, a pair of eagles fighting, so, upon approaching me, this is what I came up with. I hope it can be used as-is for a wallpaper as well as with additional objects, but I do feel honoured my work can be used in this way. Good luck to him :) (Smile)

There are two larger versions and (once approval is made), prints up to and including 24x16 sizes available.

The technical bits:
Two terrains have been downloaded in NED data format, converted by 3DEM, combined in Terragen to make one more interesting terrain, pushed through World Machine to add Thermal, rain and river erosion, then reimported to Terragen for texture additions and render, then out to Photoshop for colour correction and triangulation removal.

I love it stotty, great work the both of you. The parts that I am not sure of is the bottom of the mountains. They just seem a tad plain.

The best part of it though is the direction which you made the mountains go. I am not sure if you meant it or not really, but it almost goes back as far as the eye can see which gives it a realstic look. Good work you guys

Very nice, One thing I wonder is the land. It is just "too" smooth. It looks great and textures are well done. It is just too smooth in my opition. Other than that. GREAT WORK!

Good formation of the land and distribution of the texturing .. the only thing I see that doesn't seem right is the mountains .. the textures seem way to smooth and unreal ..

The texturing in the foreground looks very good .. definately realistic. There is some triangulation in the peaks off to the left, but overall its a nice piece ..

I find the shadow down left a bit to dark and hard, but may be that is only my impression!

the upper right mountains look kinda weird, on the shadows, and so does the lower left, but i love the texture work, reminds me of scotland :D (Big Grin)

I can notice a very slight banding in the horizon but i guiess thats ok as the textures make up for it. Guess the rest has been covered.
